From the first moment Kate reached out to Bloom and Ivy, we had a feeling that her wedding would be as colorful as her personality. We were right!
Kate's Vision
Kate knew from the beginning that she wanted her wedding to have a romantic, garden feel with bright wildflowers in shades of pink and orange with hints of blue. She shared her color templates with us which helped us to chose flowers which would complement her vision. We decided on a mixture of wildflowers such as delphinium, straw flower, ranunculus, and dianthus mixed with a few traditional flowers such as spray roses.Â
The beauty of Kate’s vision didn’t stop with the flowers! She and her finance had chosen a brunch wedding at the beautiful Ashton Gardens in Sugar Hill, Georgia. so a perfect addition to the tables were oranges and grapefruit scattered among the bud vases of flowers and taper candles on the guest tables. Paired with the a Mimosa bar and delicious brunch food, the reception was perfect!
The Ceremony
Kate and Hunter’s held their ceremony in the Chapel at Ashton Gardens. The glass chapel is surrounded by beautiful greenery and accentuate with wooden beams to create a fairy tale atmosphere. Kate chose to marry in front of a wooden cross. Lining the aisle were lush arrangements of colorful wildflowers variegated greens. True to Bloom and Ivy’s belief in getting the most beauty from fresh flowers, the arrangements were moved to the reception to decorate the grand staircase for their first entrance as husband and wife.Â

The Cake
Wedding cakes symbolize the love and happiness promised to each couple on their union. Kate and Hunter’s wedding cake was a showstopper! Four luscious tiers of white icing and meticulously formed fondant leaves finished with a simple bride and groom figurine on top. Around the base, Bloom and Ivy formed an exquisite flower meadow to tie in the colors and whimsey of the of Kates garden-style theme. Finished with fresh orange halves and set against the backdrop of stately magnolia trees, this wedding cake created unending memories.
Our Honor
As with each of our brides and grooms, we felt truly blessed and honored to bring Kate’s garden vision for a day fill with vivid colors and beautiful flowers. We wish them many years of love!
